Eviction Process – What to Expect in Court

Here’s a video to watch for more information

After achieving your goal of living independently, it is important to set up a bill paying service (autopay) to ensure timely payment of your rent, mortgage payment, bills, to avoid late fees and avoid your credit scores from dropping.

Also, you have learned that income, credit, and budget are the foundation that prepare you for tenancy and homeownership.  The same principle applies when you become a tenant or homeowner.  A stable foundation—income, credit, and budget—will help you sustain your independent living.  There may come a time when a loss of income or other unforeseen circumstances impact your foundation.  Having a savings account for emergencies is highly recommended. You want to plan for such emergencies by saving at least three to six months of living expenses in a savings account designated only for emergencies.  Your savings account should not be easily accessible, i.e., no online banking, to limit non-emergencies withdrawals.
