Every five years, DHCD is responsible for submitting a Consolidated Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which includes public hearings as part of the plan development process.
DHCD has two public hearings scheduled in August. Those hearings are scheduled for August 13th at DHCD’s Housing Resource Center and August 19th at the MLK Library. Attached is a public hearing notice for the District of Columbia's Consolidated Plan Public Hearings for Fiscal Years 2016-2020.

The Court is holding a launch event on 1:00pm Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Old Council Chambers, located at 441 4th Street, NW Washington, DC 20001. At this meeting, they will introduce the objectives of the project, outline the process, listen to your ideas, and discuss ways in which you can be involved. Attached to this email is an invitation and flyer with event information.
Do you or a family member receive services and supports through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA)? Have you ever applied for services with DDA? If so, we want to hear from you! The District is in the process of getting feedback from District residents who have applied for or are currently receiving long-term services or supports, either for themselves or their family member. We want to know what worked about the process of getting services and what didn’t work, so that we can start fixing it. Please join us for this feedback session!
