Civil Rights Restoration ACT JUNE 8th
On Wednesday, January 8th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the MLK Library there will be a meeting to discuss the proposed Bill to stop the required commit of people of people with intellectual disabilities in DC. Many of the Project ACTION! members are in support of the Bill, CIDCRRA - Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities Civil Rights Restoration ACT, and we will be discussing what kind of advocacy we want to take.
This meeting will be down in the basement in room 5A of the MLK Library, we hope you and the people you support, will be able to attend.

RESOURCE FAIR ASSISTS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN LEADING PRODUCTIVE LIVES AS INDEPENDENTLY AS POSSIBLE
Washington, DC— This Friday, April 29, the D. C. Department on Disability Services will host a Provider Resource Fair to connect people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to various supports and services that will help them achieve vibrant and productive lifestyles. The fair will be held at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center, 2730 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue on the St. Elizabeth’s campus from 10 am until 6 pm.
