2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Presidential Proclamation that designated March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. More than 6 million Americans and nearly 10,000 residents of the District of Columbia have developmental disabilities. On Tuesday, March 21, the D.C. Department on Disability Services will join with an array of community partners to celebrate the occasion. With the theme Our Voices, Our Choices, the recognition event takes place 4 – 6 pm, 250 E Street, SW, and is conducted in collaboration with the following community partners:
