The Family Support Council (FSC) was established in July 2015 to assist, advise and provide recommendations to the Department on Disability Services (DDS) and sister agencies on developing person and family-centered systems of support throughout the lifespan of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The District of Columbia Statewide Independent Living Council (DCSILC) announces the 2018, General Meeting schedule. SILC meetings are open to the public and will take place as scheduled at the Department on Disability Services Rehabilitation Services Administration (DDS-RSA) at 250 E Street, SW, 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm, however, Thursday, January 25, 2018, is reserved for mandatory Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) member training. Meetings will occur on the fourth Thursday of the selected month. The dates are as follows:
