Transition Tool Kit

The DC RSA Transition Toolkit will provide students, parents, and teachers information on the DC RSA Vocational Rehabilitation process with implementable, adaptable resources that facilitate students’ post-secondary transition to employment.

DC RSA contracted with the nonprofit SchoolTalk to develop the Toolkit in collaboration with DDS Developmental Disabilities Administration, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, DC Public Schools, DC Department of Behavioral Health, and the Arc of DC.

Person-Centered Thinking

Person-centered thinking is a philosophy behind service provision that supports positive control and self-direction of people’s own lives. DDS is working to implement this through training sessions and other agency wide initiatives.

Employment First Initiative
