The D.C. Family Support Council (FSC) will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The meeting can be attended virtually via Zoom.

The FSC provides recommendations, assists, and advises the Department on Disability Services (DDS) and sister agencies on developing person and family-centered systems of support for families throughout the life course of their family members with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The FSC operates pursuant to D.C. Law 16-264, the “Department on Disability Services Establishment Act of 2006,” effective March 14, 2007 (D.C. Official Code § 7-761.01 et seq.), and according to the “Family Support Council Procedure,” 2019-DDA-PROC02 (Aug. 22, 2019), at 2019-DDA-PROC02 Family Support Council Procedure_1.pdf (dc.gov).
