The purpose of this policy is to establish the standards and guidelines to safeguard the personal funds for any ppersono receiving services annd suppors through the District of Coumbia (District), Department on Disability Services (DDS), Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA).

Person-Centered Thinking

Person-centered thinking is a philosophy behind service provision that supports positive control and self-direction of people’s own lives. DDS is working to implement this through training sessions and other agency wide initiatives.
