In accordance with the requirements in 34 C.F.R. § 361.135(c), and in its capacity as the Designated State Agency, the District of Columbia Department on Disability Services (DDS) is seeking public comments on proposed modifications to the Program Specific Requirements for Vocational Rehabilitation, Section L, State Goals and Priorities, as set forth in the District of Columbia’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Unified State Plan for PY 2024-2027. DDS, by and through its Rehabilitation Services Administration (DCRSA), is proposing modifications to the goals and priorities for its Vocational Rehabilitation program based on information obtained in the 2023 Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment and in response to both national and state issues, as mandated by Section 105 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. These goals and priorities were developed, reviewed, and approved by DCRSA and the State Rehabilitation Council, and have been shared with DCRSA staff, providers and community stakeholders to seek their input. Comments on these proposed modifications must be submitted, in writing, to Andrew P. Reese, Director, D.C. Department on Disability Services, 250 E Street SW, 6th Floor, Washington, D.C. 20024, or by email to [email protected], within thirty (30) calendar days of June 13, 2025, the date of publication of this notice in the D.C.
