The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Individual and Family Support (IFS) waiver was amended and approved effective October 1, 2022, to include the new service, participant directed services (PDS), My Life, My Way Program. DDA implemented the My Life, My Way program to allow IFS Waiver participants, or their authorized representative, if applicable, decision-making authority over supports needed, the participant, or their authorized representative, is the employer of record for their staff or Participant-Directed Worker (PDW) and thereby giving them hiring, training, and evaluation authority.
