D.C. Security Camera Programs for D.C. Residents

The Private Security Camera Rebate Program provides rebates for residents to purchase and install security camera systems on their property and register them with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).  The program offers a rebate of up to $200 per camera, with a maximum rebate of up to $500.  The Private Security Camera Voucher Program provides free security camera systems to eligible D.C. residents (owners or tenants) who receive public assistance.

Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC)

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

Based on eligibility requirements, you can receive a discount of up to $30 monthly on phone service and up to $100 to buy a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.  To obtain assistance, you must pay between $10.01 to  $49.99 for the device.  This discount is in addition to the monthly offers.

D.C. D.C. Office of Planning If you own a home in one of D.C.'s designed, historic neighborhoods, construction affecting the exterior may be regulated by The Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) and Historic Preservation Office (HPO) to preserve the property’s historic features.  Contact HPO for D.C. preservation laws and design guidelines.

The Mayor’s Office on Community Relations and Services (MOCRS)
This branch of the mayor's office ensures that D.C. residents receive quick responses to their requests, complaints, and questions regarding city services and agencies.  The mayor provides at least two MOCRS representatives for each Ward in the city.
