Provider Access to DDS Databases

The primary purpose of MCIS is to assist users and others in understanding how the web-based database system is used by the Department on Disabilities Services’ (DDS) and the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) in the planning and provision of services for the individuals that DDA serves. MCIS help users to better understand their needs and assists users in providing essential services while performing the duties and responsibilities of their jobs.

MCIS is an internal database application designed to eliminate redundant data entry through a web-interface program that maintains a centralized database. MCIS is Web-enabled interface program used by DDA and other organizations to automate the tracking of Consumer data which supports DDA Intake, Case Management, Program Management, Day Programs, Client Benefits, Quality Assurance, Residential Services, and Clinical Services divisions. Specifically, MCIS supports DDA concept of operations, records major data elements of mission critical documents, and accomplishes the following:

  • Functions as a repository for Consumer data
  • Follows the Consumer Lifecycle as they enter DDA
  • Captures results of the ISP planning process
  • Captures Incident information
  • Sends automated notifications via e-mail under the following circumstances:
    • Incident Alerts
    • Transfer of Consumers to Continuing Services
    • Quality Assurance Issue Alerts
  • Tracks approved DDA Providers
  • Supports quality assurance
