Blind Vendor Committee

In accordance with 34 CFR §395.14 and 29 DCMR §211.1, the State Licensing Agency (SLA)-Randolph Vending Facilities Program (RSVFP) shall actively engage the elected Blind Vendor Committee (BVC) in the development of administrative regulations, policies, procedures, and financial matters impacting the administration of the program.

The purpose of the BVC is to preserve the priority, interest, and rights of licensed blind vendors and advocate on behalf of licensed blind vendors of the program.   Biennial elections are held to elect blind vendors. Only licensed blind vendors of the DC RSVFP are permitted to vote in the election process.  Monthly the BVC meets with the SLA to discuss program matters.  As needed, sub-committees of the BVC convene and work in partnership with the SLA concerning decisions impacting facility development, policies, public relations, and budget matters.
