Purpose: To review the principles related to quality of life determinations, health care decision-making, health care ethics and
the law as it relates to end-of-life care planning for people with significant intellectual disabilities. Participants will review case studies of common health care decision dilemmas for this population and learn how to use tools to facilitate ethical decision-making.

Audience: Health care professionals, palliative care and hospital team members, family and court-ppointed guardians, judges, law faculty and law students, members of ethics committees
