Webinar
Details:

On behalf of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), we invite you and your organizations to participate in an Accessible Transportation Technologies Research Initiative (ATTRI) Webinar: Understanding the Travel Needs of People with Disabilities to be held on March 3, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST.

This event seeks input on the challenges faced by travelers with disabilities to better understand their needs.  People with disabilities and stakeholders, by participating in this webinar, will assist the USDOT in developing solutions to enhance their mobility.  This will enable travelers with disabilities to reliably, safely, and independently plan and execute their travel.

ATTRI is a joint USDOT initiative, co-led by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA), with support from the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (JPO) and other federal partners.

Participants will be asked to express their concerns and problems encountered in fulfilling their travel and transportation needs. Webinar attendees will be asked to respond to the following questions (1) What are your transportation needs and barriers to independent travel? (2) How do you use technology now? and (3) How can technology help you get to the places you need to go in the future?

Please share this invitation with those whom you believe can provide value and expertise for ATTRI. Suggested participants may include: people with disabilities; caregivers; advocates; researchers; and other interested partners.

To participate in this webinar, please go to the online registration site at https://tti.adobeconnect.com/attri-pwd/event/registration.html to register.

We look forward to your participation and thank you for spreading the word about ATTRI. If you have any questions, please contact Charlene Wilder at: [email protected]; phone (202)366-1077, or FAX (202)366-3765.
