This Section is charged with establishing and evaluating performance against standards for minimal operating expectations for DDA and its providers that reflect sound practices and show accountability for performance. The Basic Assurance Unit fulfills these functions through:
- Basic Assurance Standards Authorization
- Review of all serious and reportable incidents
- Waiver service reviews
Quality Enhancement Section
Supervisory Quality Analyst – VACANT
This Section establishing procedures by which the DDA analyzes, reviews, tracks, and identifies trends in DDA data; engages in continuous quality improvement; provides technical assistance in assuring the health, safety, and protection from harm for all people; and, promotes best practices and positive outcomes for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Quality Enhancement Section fulfills these functions through:
- Data integration and management
- Quality improvement assessment, intervention, and follow-up
- Quality Improvement Committee that maximizes stakeholder involvement through data analysis and the development of systemic change recommendations
