The Facilities Management Administration is responsible for providing an array of operational services to employees and consumers of DDS, such as, mail services (pick up and delivery) internal and external to the agency, facility operations such as house keeping, security and supplies and material acquisitions. The Administration also provides oversight for all matters relating to transportation support for individuals receiving services as part of the DDS service delivery system as well as for employees needing transportation to meetings. This Administration is also responsible for fleet management, agency risk management, records management, collecting and distributing monthly parking tags for employee parking, scheduling and distributing Zip car cards, metro fare cards to employees and tokens to individuals receiving services as part of the DDS service delivery system
The purpose of the Records Branch is to establish policies, procedures and protocols for the compilation of all records germane to the individuals receiving services as part of the agency’s service delivery system (i.e., HIPAA, Confidentiality statutes), to control access to the records, and to ensure that the agency maintains a comprehensive records retention program compliant with applicable federal, and district laws as well as any mandates from the court as they pertain to the maintenance/retention consumer records.
