Information Technology

The Information Technology Administration is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating information technology systems required to support the department’s mission. The Administration creates an IT infrastructure that meets best practice, provides for a paperless system and is efficient and ultimately meets the needs of the staff and management to carry out the goals of objectives of each program area. The Administration maintains the Information Technology Strategic Plan initiatives and initiates and implements an integrated computerized system that monitors, manages finances, trends/tracks, and reports on the well being of individuals receiving services as part the DDS service delivery system.
The Office of Information Technology is also responsible for the operation of RSA’s case management information system, Client Rehabilitation Information System (CRIS), which includes data exchange between RSA’s system and the District’s financial management system. This office installs and maintains all of the Administrations hardware and software requirements. This unit also works with the Department’s Office of Information Services, and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer to maintain the RSA computer system. This office facilitates the electronic submission of our federal reports to the Department of Education.
