The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for providing quality legal advice to the Department on Disability Services (“DDS”) in support of its mission to provide services to persons with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities in an effective, efficient and professional manner to ensure their well-being, protection and safety, in order that each person realizes their maximum potential in the least restrictive integrated community setting.
